Feeling better about myself

So today I had my telephone interview for the ATA Awards http://www.ata.asn.au/ which went for about 25-30 minutes. It was a really great experience but most importantly, the process has allowed me to take a look at myself and why I am who I am.
Alot of me is made up of people who inspire me, people i'd like to emmulate and of course the desire to be someone elses role model. I once said that although I don't want to be famous as in the hollywood sense, i'd like to be famous within my industry... a bit like L&P.... "world famous in New Zealand" - also a really yummy drink by the way!!

So next step is the awards night on July 6th where I find out

 1) If i'm a finalist
&
2) If i'm the state winner

Guess it's time to buy me a nice dress huh? maybe I should hold off a few weeks though & see if I can drop a little weight... I got down to 90.4 kilos this morning... ok ok so it's only 100 grams since last week but it signifies getting over the speed bump that has seen me staying at between 91.6-90.5 for weeks on end.
I have no doubt that this is partially due to the fact that i'm not eating as much take away & partially because I am walking more but it signifies a very real mental roadblock which has been removed.

Onwards & Downwards for me!!!

Time for a post.....

So, alot can happen in less than 6 months and i'm more than overdue for an update.

So back in November (or was it October) I was saying that Justin's divorce came through... well, we got married last month on Friday the 13th of April (Black Friday)! Of course there were some drama's with the kids attending because Justin's ex who is "so over him" decided to take away his holiday contact time with the kids contrary to court orders. Petty. That's all i'll say on the topic. In the end, we had 2 kids come up & just close family & friends. The marriage was at the local registry office in Brisbane followed by a BBQ back at home. Awesome day. Now I just have to change my name. Blerrrgh

I'm also going to become a great aunt in July & really really can't wait to meet my beautiful new "great" niece.

I've been nominated at work to represent our organisation as the Teleprofessional of the year for the 2012 ATA awards, which is a really great honour & I hope I do them proud!

In December i'll be going on a cruise with the "girls" for a week around the Whitsundays. Am very very much looking forward to it.

So that pretty much brings me up to date on major events in my life.

Weightloss? Non existent. Effort? Can't say i've put any in. Feeling sorry for myself? Not at all.

What I choose to do next will define what I become.

One of my first steps will be to blog more often, because it really is very therapeutic. I'll also be on the lookout for some fantastic new blogs as i've noticed that a few of the blogs I used to follow don't post anymore.

So as of this morning I was 90.5 kg
My aim by the time I go on my cruise (7 months to go) is to be under 80. 10 kilo's/7 months.. realistic.

I'm going to be all about the realistic goals, because that's what will be achievable & I refuse to set myself up for failure anymore.
